Thai Yoga

Thai Yoga (also known as Thai Massage) is a system of bodywork that combines elements of acupressure and yoga. Practitioners follow energy lines in the body to determine areas of “congestion”, what we commonly feel as tightness or “knots”. Pressure is applied to congested areas, and then the body is stretched to clear the lines and help energy flow without obstruction.

Thai Yoga is done on a cushioned mat on the floor; clients are fully clothed, and no oils or lotions are used. Sessions can be 60- or 90-minutes long. Benefits of Thai Yoga include: better posture and greater flexibility; reduced muscle tension; improved lymphatic and digestive functioning; decreased sinus pressure and nasal congestion; increased emotional well-being.
